The villa has everything you need and more. It was clean, well equipped with the most amazing views of the mountains, wildlife and sea. The owner, Jose could not have been more helpful. The road to the villa was a little narrow and windy in parts however we soon became used to the pull ins and areas to watch out for other vehicles. We have experienced much worse and understand that this is to be expected for rural locations in Spain. Overall a wonderful villa and we fully intend to return. Thank you , Jose.

A remote location surrounded by nature.

Beautiful place and incredibly friendly owner! We had a wonderful time with our family (2 adults and 2 children (3.5 and 1.5 years old)). Good to know: there are no toys for small children, and there are many steps inside and a lowered seating area. So, a little attention is required. The outdoor pool is also easily accessible for children and therefore dangerous, as are the steps. Be aware of this if you come with children. The pool is not heated, and it was far too cold for our children (in November). We enjoyed it every day, though :) Tip: bring your own salt, pepper, oil, and garbage bags. None were provided. However, there was a nice wine, a bottle of water, and a full fruit bowl!

Charming and well-equipped villa with spectacular gardens. Perfect for a large group; we arrived with several vehicles, including caravans, and there is ample parking.

Beautiful house, very well-equipped, and in a wonderful location. You always need a car to get around. Antequera and El Torcal are well worth a visit. Juan is a fantastic host. A welcome with delicious fruit and a nice bottle of wine. Fantastic!

We spent 10 days in the villa with eight people (two families), and it was every bit as beautiful as the photos show. We could hardly believe it when we first walked in Villa Selena we had never stayed in such a fantastic place and were absolutely thrilled. Everything is designed with such taste, care, and attention to detail. This isn’t just a property that was quickly built, but one clearly created with a lot of heart. Our local host, Manuel, was extremely friendly, warm, and attentive. Beyond the villa, we loved the area around the charming town of Antequera and the great location for numerous day trips — all within about 1.5 hours’ drive. We even visited El Torcal twice because the kids enjoyed it so much. We’ll definitely be back!

Waking up in this country house was a real treat: peace and quiet, nature, and incredible views of the lake. The house is exactly as pictured and meticulously maintained. The owner was delightful and always very attentive to our needs. Definitely a great choice!

The house has a lovely pool and a huge outdoor area with plenty of seating. The view was fantastic. The decor is rustic Spanish.

The location is perfect; it's true that access isn't entirely straightforward, but following the owner's instructions, arrival is straightforward. Both houses are well-equipped with everything you need (whatever you require, they'll likely have it—amazing!), spacious, pleasant, and very clean. Ideal for large groups without feeling cramped. It's fantastic for children, offering plenty of exercise options. The photos and information on the website don't fully capture everything the property has to offer. One thing to note: the larger house has two bathrooms, both on the ground floor, while there's no bathroom upstairs where the bedrooms are. This might be a bit inconvenient for children or elderly people using the stairs to get to the bathroom at night, but it shouldn't be a problem. The owners are very attentive and readily available to answer any questions.

We had a wonderful stay at Jose's Cave. The place is truly special, beautiful, and very peaceful. Everything here has so much charm, with countless little corners where each visit is unique. You can feel the care and time Jose has invested in every detail. A sense of tranquility pervades the entire property, and it also boasts a fantastic location, just a couple of minutes from a large town with all the amenities you could need, yet secluded from the hustle and bustle but easily accessible. There are a multitude of activities to enjoy nearby, fantastic hiking trails, and beautiful places to visit. It is undoubtedly a unique setting. We are so grateful to Jose for the wonderful welcome and stay he provided, and we highly recommend this place to everyone. We can't wait to return for a longer stay :)

A truly charming house, absolutely magnificent, and spotlessly clean! Located in the hills of Nerja, designed in an authentic Andalusian style, with breathtaking views of the sea and the Nerja valley, it's simply incredible!

Easy access, close to the city. The house is beautiful, cozy, and fully furnished. The owner is friendly and showed us around upon arrival.

The holiday home is beautifully situated above Torrox Costa, surrounded by orchards. The furnishings are modern, the bed is comfortable, the pool is small but nice, the kitchen is well-equipped, and there's a Dolce Gusto coffee machine that works perfectly. The owner, José, gave us delicious mangoes from his own orchard. The drive to the house is quite an adventure, but we've gotten used to it. We would have liked to book the house again, but it was already fully booked for our desired dates.

This house has everything you could possibly need and more. Absolute privacy, a heated pool (26°C), a jacuzzi (36°C), awnings around the conservatory, and a lovely outdoor kitchen with a barbecue and gas stove. It's perfect for spending the winter. We were lucky enough to have fantastic weather. The bedrooms are air-conditioned. The views are magnificent. We will definitely be back.

Sebastian's accommodation was exactly as pictured, which was very pleasant; we didn't encounter any unpleasant surprises. His partner and daughter welcomed us and showed us around, making us feel at ease. The villa was very clean, as was the pool. It's important to remember the directions to the villa the first time you drive, as there are two entrances, one easier than the other. The villa is nestled in the Las Nieves Mountains, and the views are breathtaking. The towns of Tolox and Coin are beautiful and ideal for shopping, strolling, and enjoying tapas.

We spent a weekend relaxing in nature with our baby and it was wonderful. The house is fantastic, very well maintained and equipped with everything. The double bed and pillow were incredibly comfortable. The owners were lovely. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful large ,clean house with great views

We had a wonderful few days at Casa de la ---------. The house is incredibly comfortable, spotlessly clean, and the decor is absolutely charming, with attention to detail. It's clearly a new house, very well-equipped, and designed for relaxation: the mattresses are high-quality, and the air conditioning makes staying there perfect at any time of day. The playroom was a complete surprise. We spent hours laughing and having fun there, and it was one of the best things about the house. We would especially like to thank Paloma for her attention, her kindness, and her willingness to respond to everything we needed. It's a pleasure to find hosts like her. Without a doubt, an experience we will definitely repeat.

Everything. It has everything. I would only improve one thing, having gone with children: the pool should be fenced. Otherwise, a 10/10

Cinema weekend in Archidona with friends in a super well-equipped house

It's a spacious holiday home with all the amenities and a beautiful view. The road to it is indeed narrow and bumpy, but certainly manageable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The photos are accurate. Contacting the owner is quick and easy.

Isabel is a charming and attentive owner. The house was clean and very well equipped. Its proximity to El Torcal is ideal for a nature getaway. Thank you for the cake, it was delicious!

We had a wonderful holiday. We went on many excursions. We enjoyed the beautiful house and pool. The terrace offers an incredible view. We also used the barbecue.

The location and the house were great. The house was very clean and equipped with everything that you might need. The owner was always available in case we needed something, but it was not the case. The property is very conveniently located, very close to the villages. The heated pool was a very good addition in late October, our kids enjoyed it. We will definitely try to return with the soonest occasion!

Andalusia is a beautiful part of Spain with very friendly people and choice of accommodation. Casa ------------- is a stunning place to stay. Noelia was fast to answer any concerns, the meet point was smooth and we felt very looked after. The positive words from all the travellers before are all true! The road leading up to it is pretty well paved, yes it is steep in places but that's what gives you the reward of the views. We have stayed in this area before and you do just get used to the drive. All areas were clean with lots of towels and tea towels to hand. and the villa itself is beautifully finished and very comfortable to live in. The pool area is gorgeous although the water was very cold as it is not heated, we used it as a daily challenge to have a swim, it was brilliant! The unique aspect of this villa though is the views, to be able to see the sunset and sunrise and all of what goes in-between was just jaw dropping. With the huge postcard like window at the front that overlooks everything was a very well thought out design feature, it allows you to still see it all when you are inside as well, the sunsets were some of the deepest red we have ever seen. The attention to detail did not disappoint here and like many others before we would absolutely not hesitate in returning. The kitchen was well stocked and the coffee machines were a good touch, the outdoor kitchen with fridge was also well designed. We really did have a wonderful time and was also blessed with great weather too. Perfecto! Many thanks again for having us.

Magnificent villa with a superb garden/pool equipped with a barbecue and a ping-pong table, located in the middle of a valley.

Of all the houses I've rented through Ruralidays, this is by far the best. The location is fantastic—no nasty mountain roads, close to amenities, and a beautiful view. The kitchen is fully equipped and truly has everything you need. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is sleek and tidy, and the outdoor terrace is large with a large table, covered, and equipped with windbreaks if needed. The pool is heated and sheltered, so even in early November, it's wonderful for sunbathing and swimming. It's a saltwater pool, so no unpleasant chlorine smell or scum, and it's super clean! The vegetable garden and chickens provide eggs, avocados, mangoes, and much more. The car is in the shade all day. The owner is always available and very friendly and helpful. The Wi-Fi is excellent. HIGHLY recommended!

We had a wonderful stay in this house! The house is spacious and very comfortable, and the outdoor areas are truly fantastic. But what makes this place even more exceptional is the owner's hospitality: she is incredibly kind and has a heart of gold. She even helped me find my grandparents' grave, a gesture that deeply touched me. The house is also ideally located, right across from the train station – perfect for easily visiting Andalusia's major cities. I highly recommend this house!

Excellent villa, very clean and comfortable, well equipped kitchen for what you need, great covered terrace with stunning surroundings and a good sized pool perfect for a family, amazing views that are way better than the photographs show, very friendly owner who was extremely helpful, considerate and had very good communications. Would definitely return. The town is very close by with a very modern well stocked supermarket, nice little friendly bars and restaurants.

Beautiful view, very good individual services

Beautiful, fully equipped villa in the mountains overlooking Torrox, with a charming outdoor area and a swimming pool. Ideal for those seeking absolute peace and relaxation. The last 3.5 kilometers of the access road are gravel and dirt tracks, but after a short adjustment period, they are easily accessible, even at night. Torrox-Costa, with its shops and beaches, is a 25-minute drive away. Malaga is approximately a 50-minute drive away.

Beautiful villa, in a peaceful location. Great links to other local towns which enabled us to see the local sights easily. A car is definitely required to get about. The walks around the villa are amazing, beautiful countryside.

We spent a weekend there, four couples with children, and felt very comfortable. The house has three very spacious bedrooms on each floor, each with its own full bathroom. The dining room and various outdoor areas are also spacious, ideal for children to play in. However, you do need to be careful with the stairs for younger children, as they easily block access. The kitchen is very well-equipped, and the property is completely fenced, as is the pool when not in use. The only drawback is that the access road is quite steep, which can be difficult for inexperienced drivers, even though most of it is paved. Pepe, the owner, can provide firewood for the barbecue or fireplace, so you don't have to worry about that. He also provided us with a high chair and a crib.

The finca was very well equipped. The kitchen was fully equipped. A large, sunny terrace. The pool was even closed in early November. Comfortable duvets for when it got a bit chilly at night. Peace and quiet.

As a family with a young child we really enjoyed the pool and outdoor games area. The house was spacious and had everything you needed. Cristobal, our host was very thoughtful and considerate throughout our stay and communication was quick and easy. We will definitely be returning and recommend.

This house has a wonderful view of the sea and the mountains. You can watch the sun rise in the morning and admire the sunset in the evening. The access road is quite steep for the last few meters, but you get used to it quickly. A car is absolutely necessary. It's only about a 10-minute drive to the shops and the sea. You can feel right at home in this house.

We received a very warm welcome from Maria. Even though we don't speak Spanish and she doesn't speak English, we immediately felt welcome. The cottage is cozy and practically furnished, ideal for those looking for peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle, and without immediate neighbors. We stayed here with our 1.5-month-old baby. A travel cot was provided and even a high chair for an older child, which was very convenient. The mountain views are stunning, and it's wonderful to explore the area with our rental car. The city of Málaga is about an hour's drive away. In short: a lovely, peaceful place with a warm welcome!

Everything was wonderful. We will definitely return. There were 24 of us, including children, and we had a fantastic stay. Nothing was lacking, and everything was spotless.

Loved the drive to the Villa, however it should be noted that the drive is not for the nervous or inexperienced driver, as it is a steep narrow drive. Loved the villa and the host was very kind. Left us to enjoy our holiday, but was on hand if we needed anything. Good facilities, with a fully equiped kitchen.

It was an amazing trip we had in Villa ------ and the owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The only thing we felt was a little bit challenging was the road to the house if you’re not used to driving in the mountain, this is definitely a road where it can feel a little bit scary to drive but when you have been driving there a few times it’s getting much easier. Just remember that you are not the first driving there and it’s not a problem to drive there. You just have to be careful.

Nice place in exceptional location

Anyone seeking peace and relaxation will find this house the perfect place. The furnishings and cleanliness were excellent by local standards. The pool was clean and well-maintained. The very friendly owner resolved any problems immediately and surprised us with delicious fruit from his orchard. Communication with the management was also smooth and friendly. We felt completely at ease. The access road, somewhat narrow and steep, didn't bother us; we were already familiar with it and expected it.

A beautiful spot in the mountains of La Competa, an oasis of tranquility far from the city—exactly what we were looking for. The view of the colorful sky and the ever-changing horizon—fantastic! The mountains, the winding roads, the twists and turns, all perfectly manageable—it's the ultimate adventure. I'll be back.

Very quiet place, fantastic surroundings, very well equipped, nothing was lacking and the house was a 10/10. The owner was very attentive and friendly at all times, helping with any questions.

Excellent villa, good facilities, and accessible by car to the nearby villages and town. 40 minutes to the coast, Torrox etc. Competa has a range of shops and restaurants and is only a 15-minute drive from the villa.

Accessing the villa is a bit of an adventure. The road is steep and narrow, so it's wise to be confident with your vehicle. The bathrooms have been renovated and are pleasant. The kitchen is adequate and well-equipped, but a bit dated. The pool is large and probably reaches a depth of 3 meters. The outdoor kitchen is also a bit old, and the gas stove is broken.

A fantastic holiday home! Well-equipped, very clean, with a beautiful, spacious terrace offering panoramic mountain views and a fantastic swimming pool. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for cooking. The refrigerator is large enough to store food for several days. The house is located in the mountains, just outside Frigiliana; a car is essential. We felt very comfortable and had a wonderful few days.

The stay and the owner were excellent, Paco was very responsive, but Ruralidays got a zero. The house was superb with everything you could need, and the scenery was magnificent, but the road was difficult for those unfamiliar with it for 2 km. That was the only problem with our stay.

The two separate sections of the house can comfortably accommodate two families. The surroundings are peaceful and beautiful.

We had a lovely trip to Casarabonela with my family -14 of us in total. The weather sadly was not great but if the sun had come out the accommodation would be perfect. The host was attentive to my messages and questions and replied very quickly.

Villa with breathtaking 360-degree mountain views. Ideally located near Frigiliana, Nerja, and Torrox. Numerous beaches are a 15-20 minute drive away. Perfect for exploring different parts of Andalusia. The hosts were absolutely wonderful before and during our stay. Impeccable cleanliness! The villa was perfectly equipped. Everything was clear and well explained; there were no unpleasant surprises, quite the opposite. We have never experienced such a high level of comfort and cleanliness! The owners' dedication is evident. Access to the villa may seem complicated at first, but you quickly get used to it, and you truly deserve this view and this tranquility! Thank you, everything was perfect!

Beautiful house with nice view and terrace

We loved the house and pool. Very relaxing few days away. Just what we all needed.

The accommodation is superbly located, surrounded by nature and very close to the town of Montefrio. The host was wonderful and incredibly understanding, as he had to wait quite a while because the ATM in town where we were going to withdraw money wasn't working. He also explained all the things to do in the area. The house is fantastic because, besides being huge, it's very well laid out. It has a pool area, large tables, a barbecue… with beautiful views. We will definitely return.

Spacious and pleasant house with a lovely pool. Supermarket around the corner. Plenty of privacy thanks to the enclosed garden and lockable entrance. Accessibility is good, but a car is essential for day trips and sightseeing.

Simply perfect accommodation - it's about 2 km from the village (mountain road) and ideally located for those seeking tranquility. The surroundings, and especially the garden, are enchanting. The pool was great for the children and the barbecue for the father 😊. There are several ways to relax on the terrace or in the garden and enjoy the spectacular view (you can see the sea). The interior decoration of the house is very nice and appropriate for the area. One bedroom (with a double bed) has a private bathroom (with a very large bathtub), the other two bedrooms share a bathroom (with a bidet and shower). The mattresses are ultra-comfortable and we slept very well. We loved being able to eat either in the dining room next to the kitchen, or on the terrace or in the garden next to the barbecue. The kitchen is large and very well equipped (although there was a lack of cutlery). The whole house was very clean and the beds were made upon arrival. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, but it might be a bit slow for working from home. We were delighted with Katerina's house and her father's hospitality, and we hope to return soon.

It was a lovely house to spend time with our family in and around, and to enjoy activities in the surrounding area. We really appreciated the peace, privacy, and beautiful location. Outside, there are plenty of options for sun or shade. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset. A place to unwind and enjoy the beauty the area has to offer. The house and the outdoor area (including the pool) were clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped. We found the welcome and contact with the managers friendly and pleasant. We look back on a wonderful week's holiday.

The home and surroundings are beautiful. Daniel and Asuncion were so kind, always available for advice and gave us a big box of fruit and veg from the garden. We travelled with a baby and the accommodation had everything we needed (cot, highchair). The location is great - short driving distance from lots of activities / places to visit. We will definitely consider coming back.
