1. Choosing your holiday home
1.1. How does Ruralidays.com select their holiday homes?
The houses are being selected based on their quality, charm and value for money. The majority of the holiday homes on this website were visited by the Ruralidays.com team.
1.2. How do I know whether a holiday home is available or not?
You can either select your preferred travel dates in the start page, so that only those houses that are available during your chosen period of time will be shown to you; or choose the house of your preference and then check its availability in its calendar.
If you are not sure about your travel dates, you can check the availability of the holiday homes directly from the results page. Just click on “Availability” next to the image of the holiday home, and the calendar will be shown to you.
1.3. How do I know the price for the holiday home?
If you have already filled in your preferred travel dates on the start page, the prices will immediately be calculated and shown in the list of potential holiday homes.
If you haven´t filled in your data on the start page, you can do so in the tab next to the photos of the house. Your individual final price will then be calculated, depending on the duration of your stay, the season and the size of your group.You can see the prices of a night, month or season.
1.4. Is there a baby cot available in the holiday home?
You can find this information specified per house in "Information/ Kind of beds". Even if a baby cot is indicated to be available, please still verify this with us when you make the reservation.
1.5. Does the holiday home have internet access?
You can find this information specified for each holiday home in the Overview below the photos and in the description of the Facilities. The type of connection will be specified in the Multimedia description.
1.6. Are pets allowed in the holiday home?
Your pet is welcome if the owner specifically permits pets. This can be found in the Overview below the photos and in the description of "Information/Other".
In some cases, the owner might charge more deposit if you bring a pet.
2. Booking the holiday home
2.1. How can I book on the Ruralidays.com website?
Reservations are made through the webpage of Ruralidays.com. Once you select the travel dates on the webpage of the chosen holiday home, click on "Book now". In the next step you will be asked to complete the details of your reservation, filling in the contact details and specify the preferred payment method. On this page, you will also find the summary of your reservation, the total amount of the price, the amount of the advance payment, as well as the price of the deposit. If you have a question, you can leave a comment below your contact information. Once every piece of information is completed, click on "Book now". The reservation will be managed by our team in the shortest time possible.
2.2. Is it possible to book a holiday home by phone?
Yes, it is! Our team is available from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You can call us by dialing (0034) 951 40 98 73 or (0034) 633 502 113. We speak English, Spanish, French and German and we are happy to help you find the holiday home that best suits your needs.
3.1. Which payment methods will be accepted?
The following payment possibilities are available: credit card, PayPal or bank transfer.
3.2. Are the online payments safe?
Yes, the online payment methods are secure at Ruralidays.com. In order to facilitate safe transfers, Ruralidays.com works with TPV virtual (SIS) by Banco Sabadell, which provides us with the Secure Socket Layers (SSL) technique. Using this technique, the payment details will be encrypted during the transfer, ensuring that no third parties are able to read it.
3.3. Is it possible to pay the rent in several terms?
Unfortunately this is not possible.
3.4. How much is the down payment?
You will have to pay a down payment of between 20% and 40% of the total price, depending on the holiday home and the season.
3.5. How do I pay the rest of the total price?
The residual amount of money will have to be paid in cash to the owner directly on the day of arrival. On that occasion, the deposit will also have to be paid. If no damages are being detected at the house and the property, the deposit will be returned at the end of your stay.
3.6. How much is the deposit?
The amount of the deposit depends on the holiday home. The value of the deposit is always provided in the description of the Facilities/Deposit.
4.1. Where can I get the keys of the holiday home?
The owner himself will give you the keys of the house. The meeting point will be specified on the booking confirmation.
4.2. Is there a predetermined hour of arrival at the holiday home?
You can enter the holiday home between 4:00 and 9:00 p.m. Ruralidays.com will send you a questionnaire 14 days prior to your holidays to inform the owner about your approximate arrival time. In some cases it is possible to enter the house earlier than 4:00 p.m. or later than 9:00 p.m.; however this has to be arranged with the owner.
5.1. Where do I leave the keys of the holiday home?
You will have to contact the owner to confirm at what time you wish to leave the holiday home. The owner will come to the property to receive the keys and refund the deposit, if no damages to the house and property are being detected.
5.2. When is the deposit returned?
The deposit is returned together with the delivery of the keys and after the owner has revised holiday home. In some cases, the owner prefers to return the deposit by bank transfer.
5.3. Is there a predetermined hour of departure?
The departure has to be facilitated before 12:00 at noon. Upon request, it might be possible to leave the property later; However you will have to negotiate this directly with the owner.
